This review is from: Fiskars 7850 X7, X-Series Hatchet, 14-Inch (Lawn & Patio) Hatchets just don't come better than this. It will take a very sharp edge and hold it all day long. It's not a splitting axe. It isn't an axe at all. What it is though is a tough as nails hatchet that will get any job done that a hatchet is meant to do. If you want a splitting axe get a Fiskars brand splitting axe. If you want a chopping axe Fiskars makes one of those that is also 5 stars. If you want to clear brush on your favorite ATV trail or you want to chop kindling for your campfire this hatchet can't be beat. Just don't expect it to be something it isn't.
