How you Earn Money on MiiU
IMPORTANT NOTE: None of this is live yet. We don't think it will be that hard to implement though.
MiiU works on a simple premise: If you do good work, you should share in the reward. Or more precisely, if you help make a site great, you should share in its success.
Here's what we are planning to implement:
- Every page you create on MyMiiU will generate revenue. How? Once the page is created, MiiU will place contextual advertising and affiliate links on the page. It's that simple.
- When a visitor clicks on a link, MiiU will be paid by the advertising network (e.g. Google or Amazon).
- MiiU will then divides the revenue by page and pays each contributor for the number of approved pages they created.
The interesting part is that you won't just get paid once, you get paid again and again for the page whenever it generates revenue, as long as the site operates.
EXAMPLE:
Let's assume that we are only able to generate $0.20 a page for the month. That's a single adword's click on one out of every four pages (on a moderately valuable keyword).
Given that a page takes 10 minutes to build (hopefully much less as we improve the site), this equates to getting paid a ~$10 payment for every hour of work you put into the site.
What is the revenue share? In this case given the assumptions above, it's $10 a year, every year, for as long as the site operates. If we operate 10 years, that $100 an hour. 20 years, $200 for that hour of work.
By the way, since MiiU provides a revenue share rather than a fixed payment, the money you make in future years is extremely resistant to inflation.
