Solar GPS

A solar GPS system is very handy to have. The GPS (global positioning satellite) system will persist even during the worst of disasters. There are problems with GPS reception in certain parts of the world, and in areas with high mountains that block satellite receptions (used to run into this when I flew low level night flights in central/south America). Regardless, it's an essential item to have when doing cross country navigation.
